Anya Lawrence/Chalsie Flannery, the director of The Healing Academy, has been deeply involved in Spiritual Growth and the Art and Science of Healing since 1977. A tragic accident took the life of her daughter, Sally, at sixteen and taught her in a profound way that there is life beyond the veil. Having Sally as a Spirit Guide changed her life and redirected it from a career in business to her life's work in the Healing Arts.

Beginning with The New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in Albuquerque, New Mexico, her studies included Massage, Polarity, Cranial Sacral work, Naturopathy, and Flower Essence Therapy. Her first company, Second Story Natural Therapies, was the outgrowth of these studies in New Mexico.

The thirst for more knowledge and awareness took her to the University of Santa Monica for an in depth study of Spiritual Psychology, followed by the four-year training program at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing from which she graduated in 1993. Further studies included The Light Body Training and Flow, Alignment and Connection.

In 2006, after 20 years of separation, Anya remarried Jackie Flannery and changed her name to Chalsie, so as to balance to her new last name of Flannery, according to vibrational and numerological principles.
